Rare Scandinavian three seater sofa by Danish designer Kaare Klint for Rud Rasmussen. Model “4118” dating from 1929 with a classic and sober design, precursor of the Scandinavian design. The seat, armrests and backrest are in original cognac leather with a sublime patina due to time. Very nice finish with brass nails on the whole sofa. Remarkable base composed of eight mahogany legs connected to each other by X-shaped crossbars. Exceptional model because of its details and its superb patina, traces of cracks to be noted on the leather as well as traces of water (see photos).
