Ceramic goddess by Denise Picard from the Paul Pouchol workshop – H687
Large ceramic by the French artist Denise Picard from the 1940s from the Paul Pouchol workshop. Glazed ceramic in shades of yellow and white depicting Ceres, the goddess of fertility and the harvest, carrying a bunch of wheat. Very good vintage condition, with a few cracks in the enamelling (see photos). Signature of the artist and workshop on the underside of the ceramic.
