Rare Scandinavian wall lamp from the 1940s by designer Vilhelm Lauritzen, model VL38. The sconce is entirely in solid brass, with a ball-and-socket joint on the mounting bar that allows the shade to be oriented. Beautiful vintage condition, with a very nice patina of age on brass. Traces of oxidation and rust (see photos). Electrical system changed, we recommend E14 LED bulbs.
